Have you seen this strong and gritty woman in super star Upendra ‘Upendra’ in 1999?  She played underworld don in that film and got attention. It was Hooch queen Marimuthu,  first woman don, a former councillor who has been given the JD(S) ticket to contest the BBMP elections from Sagayapuram ward, was a key accused in the infamous hooch tragedy which claimed nearly 229 lives.

Later offers came pouring in and she was female antagonist in Kannada films. We feel sorry that Sarojamma alimas ‘Marimuthu’ passed away at 1 am today – Saturday on account of severe heart attack. She was brought to hospital but nothing worked out to save her life.

Sarojamma was brought to her Kamalanagara residence. A number of people paid last respected to Sarojamma aged 60 years.
